Advantages

PAN and Udyog Aadhar

A valid Permanent Account Number (PAN) issued by the Income Tax Department is required. In addition, obtaining a Udyog Aadhaar Registration Certificate is mandatory for selling on the GeM platform.

Bank Account

You should have an active bank account in the name of your business entity. This account will be used for processing payments and transactions on the GeM platform

Business Entity

Your business must be legally registered in India. This includes structures like sole proprietorships, partnerships, limited liability partnerships (LLPs), private limited companies, public limited companies, and other recognized entities.

Digital Signature Certificate (DSC)

To register on the GeM platform, it is mandatory to obtain a Class III Digital Signature Certificate. This helps ensure the security and authenticity of all electronic documents and transactions.

Experience and Turnover

Based on the category of products or services, GeM may specify minimum requirements such as prior experience or a certain turnover. These prerequisites differ for each category and are determined accordingly.

Compliance with Policies

Compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and policies set by the Government of India is essential. This includes fulfilling tax responsibilities, following ethical business practices, and meeting all other statutory obligations.
