FSSAI/Food License – Central License

✔ The FSSAI Central License is issued by the central office of the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI), headquartered in New Delhi. FSSAI is the apex authority responsible for establishing and enforcing food safety and quality standards across India.

✔ This license is mandatory for large-scale food businesses operating across multiple states or with an annual turnover exceeding ₹20 crore.

✔ The Central License is valid for a period ranging from 1 to 5 years and must be renewed on time to ensure continued compliance and legality.

✔ To be eligible, businesses must have a functional kitchen and adequate storage facilities, comply with hygiene and safety regulations, and use ingredients that meet FSSAI’s quality standards.
