FSSAI/Food License – State License

✔ The FSSAI State License is granted by the state-level office of the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI),

✔ It is tasked with formulating and enforcing food safety standards to ensure that food products in India are safe, hygienic, and of good quality.

✔ This license is mandatory for food businesses operating within a single state and having an annual turnover between ₹12 lakhs and ₹20 crore.

✔ The license is issued for a duration ranging from 1 to 5 years and must be renewed before expiry to remain valid.

✔ To be eligible, businesses must have a functional kitchen and adequate storage facilities, comply with hygiene and safety regulations, and use ingredients that meet FSSAI’s quality standards.
